Foreign Travel Advice: For the latest travel advice from the Foreign Office including security and local laws, plus passport and visa information, click here.

Passports and Visas: Different countries have different rules on how long passports must be valid for. Since the UK left the EU, UK Citizens travelling to Europe must have their passport issued less than 10 years before the date they enter the destination country and valid for at least 3 months after the day they plan to leave.

You can travel without a visa to the Schengen area, which includes France & Belgium , for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. This applies if you travel:

  • as a tourist
  • to visit family or friends
  • to attend business meetings, cultural or sports events
  • for short-term studies or training

Health: The most up to date health requirements and vaccination information is available by clicking here and searching for your destination country. If required you should seek advice on recommended vaccinations and precautions from a health professional – either a GP, a practice nurse, a pharmacist or a travel health clinic – ideally at least eight weeks before departure.

Travel Insurance:  Travel insurance is important and you should take it out as soon as possible. For some good advice from ABTA click here.

It is a condition of our acceptance of your booking that you have adequate travel insurance. You can obtain information about an appropriate policy via Travel & General Insurance Services, Tel 0845 345 3456, quoting 1st Tickets Limited but you are not under any obligation to purchase any insurance they offer. Insurance cover will not be effective until you make payment of premiums in full. Please read your policy and take it with you on holiday. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs.
