DDK have joined forces with 1st Tickets, official agents of the Automobile Club de L’Ouest (ACO) to offer a club camping package for the 2010 Le Mans Classic. Relive the Le Mans of years gone by at the fourth Le Mans Classic whilst enjoying good company with fellow club members in the Club Camping area on Karting Nord.

Held every two years the Le Mans Classic has become one of the largest classic sports car events on the calendar. The six grids cover Le Mans race cars from 1923 right through to 1979. Each grid competes in a series of races from 15:00hrs on Saturday throughout the 24 Hours with the final race finishing at 15:00 hrs on the Sunday. The event attracts close to 100,000 visitors to the circuit with 400 racers on the track. Every year the club presence has grown and over 6,000 club cars around the Buggatti Circuit. Friday will be practice day with day and night sessions for each grid starting from 15:00hrs. For the race itself there are 396 cars split over 6 grids, which then race for 24 hours, three rounds in turn.

Karting Nord is located on the infield of the circuit and is a short distance from the main grandstands, paddock and Bugatti circuit. It is also possible to watch the cars from the front of the campsite. The campsite is designated for clubs camping together with shared toilet and shower facilities.  The perimeter of DDK camping area will be marked out and the club is then free to organise the area as it wishes.

Update 29tht April 2010: After further discussions with Porsche Club France it has become apparent that the club are not able to ship tickets in advance of the event. All tickets booked via Porsche Club France, either directly or via an agent, must be collected in person from the Rotunda building at the circuit from Friday 9th July. We therefore are not able to offer parade laps on infield parking for the club. However, spaces can be booked directly with Porsche Club France via their dedicated website (click here to book parade laps or infield parking). Infield parking is only available with the Porsche club Week-end access pack. This pack includes general entry, paddock and grandstand. For those that have already paid a deposit, we will be contacting you shortly to make your final payment and amend your booking (if required).

Please note: We have also been informed by the co-organisers, that the grandstand allocation may not be T16 Sommer, but another stand near the start finish straight. As soon as the stand is confirmed, we will update the club page.
